DAY 19 | 30TH AUGUST, 2025

Facts: Did you know?

Snowflakes always have six sides, but no two are exactly alike, not even in a storm of billions. This astonishing uniqueness reflects the care and individuality with which God forms all things including us. Psalm 139:14

 ADDICTION.

Addiction among youth is a growing concern, affecting their health, well-being, and future potential. It manifests in various forms such as:

· Substance Addiction: This includes alcohol, tobacco, marijuana, and prescription drugs. Peer pressure, stress, and curiosity often lead adolescents to experiment with substances, risking long-term health issues and dependency.

· Technology and Social Media Addiction: Young people are increasingly addicted to social media platforms and video games. The constant need for validation and social connection can lead to excessive screen time, isolating them from real-life relationships and negatively impacting their mental health.

· Vegetable Foods Addiction: With easy access to unhealthy, high-calorie foods, many youth struggles with emotional eating, leading to obesity and eating disorders. Food becomes a coping mechanism for stress or low self-esteem.

· Sexual Addiction: Exposure to explicit content online can lead to compulsive sexual behaviours, disrupting relationships and causing emotional distress. It often stems from unrealistic views of sexuality and intimacy.

·  Exercise Addiction: An unhealthy obsession with physical fitness, driven by body image concerns, can result in over-exercising, physical injuries, and mental stress.

Addressing these issues requires early intervention, support from family and friends, and access to mental health resources and above all prayers by invoking the blood of Jesus, to help rescue their souls from destruction.

  PRAYER POINTS.
